Weeks 2 & 3 - Simple Sampler Quilt Along

I finally finished the blocks for weeks 2 & 3. I hate being behind so I'm feeling some relief now that they're done. I spent the weekend in Lancaster, PA, visiting several fabric and quilt shops...that was the inspiration I needed to get these done and I'm really looking forward to making the week 4 blocks. Amy, your directions are well done and easy to follow. Thanks for designing and coordinating this event!

Week one - Simple Sampler Quilt Along

Welcome to my blog! This is my first attempt at "blogging" and this space was created to showcase the quilt blocks I'm making as part of "Amy's Creative Side" Simple Sampler Quilt Along. Here are my first two blocks! I'm going to create my blocks with black and white fabrics that I've collected on family vacations and fabric excursions.
It's been almost 9 years since my bff, Linda, graciously offered to teach me quilting basics. I've certainly grown since that first evening at her kitchen table. What began with a simple tablerunner has grown into a creative outlet that has exposed me to extraordinary women and their many talents. I feel honored to call them my friends!
